Hello again to all our fly fishing and tying friends. Another year has gone by and we are up and running for the next expo. 

Northwest Fly Tyer & Fly Fishing Expo

March 12th & 13th, 2010

Linn County Fairgrounds, Albany, Oregon

The Oregon Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers wants to thank you for supporting our Expo event and we are hopeful that you will make a generous donation for Expo 2010. We are requesting donations of goods or services for our upcoming Raffle, Silent and/or Live Auction for Expo 2010 from manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, guides and craft person’s. For those who contribute, the Council will include your name and logo on our web site and other promotional material relating to Expo 2010. We have selected the Deschutes River and its signature fly, the Max Canyon, for the Expo poster and pin. This theme will celebrate the 22nd year of the Oregon Council’s Expo. This is the Council’s primary annual fund raiser to support it’s many education, conservation and scholarship programs. 

The Expo format will be similar to last year. The theme is education and conservation with numerous tyers, exhibitors, how-to classes, casting demos and instruction and destination theaters offered to please the attendees.  

Expo 2009 was a great success, and Expo 2010 will be just as exciting. Here are some statistics from Expo 2009: Tyers – 196; Exhibitors – 50: Class attendance – 339 including about 100 school age youth; Banquet/Live auction – 175 attending; Volunteers – More than 129 from 15 FFF clubs; Total attendance , 1800-2000. 

The $15,869.50 raffles and auctions proceeds from Expo 2009 is being employed to maintain and improve our Oregon fisheries, to educate our youth and to help fund special programs. Your support will enable the Council to continue its good works in the coming year.
